Friends of McDougal

July 27th, 2005

This is not related to MP3s, Apple, iTunes, iPod, drunken buddhist monks, or any of my other usual topics, but I wanted to link to this site, just because it is so great.

If you’ve been reading for the week and however many days that I’ve been keeping this blog, you’ll know one thing about me. I have a strange sense of humor. If you’ve read our About page, or the entry I made last Saturday, or noticed the images in the masthead (BTW… did you know that the theme of this site is randomly generated each time it’s loaded? It’s kind of neat… reload the page a few times, there’s three styles in all), you’ll know that one of my favorite types of of humor is absurdist (my favorite comedy of all time is The Jerk with Steve Martin).

If you’re a fan of this brand of humor, if you love the old Bill Brasky routine on SNL, Spinal Tap, Terry Gilliam, The Tick, or any of the stuff that passes for humor here at iPN, then you will love Friends of McDougal. Trust me, it defies description. In fact, it defies the very nature of universal reason.

Go there now, and share your stories of knowing McDougal.

You do know McDougal, right?

  1. Friends of McDougal Says:

You, sir, are a gentleman and a scholar.

Thanks so much for pimping McDougal. He’s a good man. An honorable man. He features a strong back and equally strong natural aroma.

I am pleased to announce that the management over at FoM has gone INSANE.

And everything must go — AT ROCK BOTTOM PRICES!!

And today only, the first ten visitors will receive the second greatest rocker to come out of New Jersey.

That’s right — you’ll get your own John Bon Jovi! This is not an immitation or a doll. We’ll actually give all ten of you a John Bon Jovi.

So, come on down and enjoy some bulk meat and loose fitting pants.

iPod Nirvana brings you fresh, free, and legal mp3s every day. The iMonks also bring you news, reviews, fun tricks to try with your iPod & iTunes, and tips on finding even more free & legal content. The Library

I've removed the little flash player that was here for now. It was causing some problems with the site in several browsers... okay... mostly it was IE6 because... well... I'm fairly sure that Microsoft hates me.

For now, you can view the Complete Library page, which is kind of a master list of every single track we've linked to.

Subscribe to our feed, and keep up with all the tracks. The XML button below should work, no matter what type of reader you're using, and will even include the regular podcast. Let me know if you have any problems with it:
