Daily Tracks: Devil in the Woods
July 29th, 2005
Remember the other day when I was talking about finding sources, and how MP3 Blogs are so great because they lead to other things? Yeah. Well, the truth is, all things lead to another thing. It’s a big long trail of links from “I like this,” to “I’ve never heard this before, but I’m in love.”
Yesterday’s write-up lead me from the Future Farmer site to the site for one of the labels they distribute here in the US called Devil In The Woods. Going through the free MP3s on that site… well… I hit nirvana. I’m looking really hard, but can’t find a thing I don’t like. It looks like Devil In The Woods is The Mighty Lemon Drops’ label, and I never knew. I used to love them, and didn’t even know that they were still together, but the reasons for that are a story for another day.
In the meantime, enjoy these phenomenal tracks. This is just a small sampling of what’s available at the Devil In The Woods site, and the sites it links to.
Here’s the tracks:
- Workhouse: Ice Cream Van
- Frank Jordan: Funnyhead
- Meow Meow: Cracked [explicit - but just barely]
- Tracy Shedd: If You Really Cared About Me You Would Have Kept In Touch For All Those Years
Today’s sources: Devil In The Woods, Tracy Shedd. Go check them out, there’s a lot more there.
