Test Drive a Mac Mini
August 31st, 2005
update: Apple has inexplicably cancelled the promotion less than 24 hours after starting it.
This isn’t really iPod or iTunes related, but I thought some of you might be interested in this.
Back when the Macintosh first came out in 1984, Apple did something fairly unprecedented. You could go into a store, pick one of them up, and try it out for 24 hours. If you didn’t like it, you could just take it back with no questions asked.
Now they’re doing it again, but this time it’s online, and it’s the Mac Mini. As the iMonks and I are the proud owners of this great little machine, i can actually highly recommend it. Now that you can literally test drive it, I encourage you to do so.
Here’s how it works:
1. Purchase a new Mac mini from the Apple Store online. You can also get an Apple keyboard and mouse, such as the new Mighty Mouse.
2. Set it up and start enjoying it.
3. If you don’t love it, call Apple within 30 days of your order and they’ll arrange for you to return your system, including the Apple keyboard and mouse, for a full refund.
Hurry, though… they’re only doing this until October 31st.
