iTunes 5 Update Fix Early Next Week
September 14th, 2005
A lot of people have been having a lot of different problems with iTunes 5. I experienced my first crash of the app last night, myself, and have also been irritated by how slow it’s been since updating. Luckily an update is on the way, according to C-Net:
Apple acknowledged the problem and said it’s working on an update.
“Apple is aware that a limited number of customers are experiencing issues with installing iTunes 5,” the company said in a statement. “We’re working to resolve this and expect to have a software update early next week.”
Good.
Dear Apple,
Please don’t turn into Microsoft.
Love,
The iMonks

Apparently, the problem is with installing iTunes, not using it. So don’t hold your breathe for a fix. But lets hope the c|net story is wrong, and the only issue isn’t about installation.

eek!
My understanding of it is that a lot of the post-install problems are caused by buggy install. I hope I’m right, as a lot of people are having issues, although the post-install problems do mostly seem to be minor…
