Belkin Announces New iPod Nano Cases
September 23rd, 2005
I haven’t done any reviews or links to any iPod cases yet, because, for the most part, I think sites like iLounge do a perfecly good job. There also have been no cases to date that have really thrilled me. Today, however, Belkin announced three new cases for the iPod Nano, and I wanted to throw my two pennies in.
The Carabiner, Folio, and Flip cases are all very nice leather cases. They each come in four different colors (white, black, pink and light blue), and have a decent price of $24.99.
I think Belkin really missed the mark, though, by not making some kind of combination of the Carabiner and Flip. Had they made a case like that; with the flip cover being reversed for upside down carrying and removal of the belt clip, I would be in total lust. This would let you dangle it from a belt loop and have screen and click wheel protection, while still being able to quickly look at the screen when you needed to.
That’s why I decided to write this… please, please, please… somebody out there make this case. It would be a beautiful thing, and I’d pimp it on the site like crazy. You could even call it “The Nano Nirvana Case.”
Anyway… The cases should be available next month. Keep an eye out at Belkin’s site as well as the Apple Store.
