No Purchase Necessary for Apple Contest
February 7th, 2006
As you probably know, Apple is running a Billion Songs Countdown Promotion. At every 100,000 purchase from the iTunes Music Store, some lucky music fan will win a 4GB black iPod nano and one U.S. $100 iTunes Music Card (good for any media type). Also, the billionth song purchaser will win a new 20-inch iMac, ten 60GB iPods (5 white/5 black) and one U.S. $10,000 iTunes Music Card.
BUT! What you may not realize is that this is a sweepstakes, and as such, there is no purchase necessary. According to the official rules, you can actually use an a alternative entry form. You’re limited to 25 entries per day. Of course, a few minutes ago, the form was broken, but it seems to be back up now.
Have fun overloading those servers :)
