$50 iPod Shuffle

Apple is selling refurbished 512 MB iPod Shuffles for $49.00 (that’s $20 off the regular price).
Grandma just ordered one for my daughter :) Now she’ll be able to listen to The Wiggles, TMBG, Lion King, and The Clash without bugging the neighbors.
[Yes, she really does listen to The Clash, and freakin’ loves them… she’s five… and obviously has inherited her daddy’s tastes]
FYI, refurbished products at the Apple store are usually very limited supply. You might want to impulse buy this one. They come with a 1 year warranty, and I’ve never heard anybody complain about the refurbs.

[update]It seems that the link I provided above, which was supposed to go directly to the refurbished shuffles, might be FUBAR. So if it doesn’t work for you, do this: Go to the Apple Online Store. Look at the bottom of the page in the left-hand column. You’ll see a link for “Apple Refurbished” under “Special Deals.” Click that link, and if they’re still available (they are at the time of writing this), you’ll see a cute graphic at the top of the page that will take you straight to the shuffles.
